Sara De Bondt

Biography

Sara De Bondt is a graphic designer, educator, and researcher.
Current design projects include a new website for The Showroom, exhibition graphics for Wellcome Collection, the identity of Europalia, and book design for Camden Art Centre.
In 2008, she co-founded the publishing imprint Occasional Papers with Antony Hudek and has since edited four of its titles. Her most recent book, Off the Grid: Histories of Belgian graphic design, was published in 2022, following the eponymous exhibition she curated for Design Museum Gent (2019–20).
De Bondt has taught at various institutions, including the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins in London, and currently teaches at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent and ECAL in Lausanne.
She completed her PhD at Ghent University and KASK & Conservatorium in 2024 and is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) since 2017.
