Dr Formalyst
Dr. Formalyst is a Madrid-based visual artist with a 25-year background in architecture, design, and coding. Working primarily in video, he has developed a unique approach that uses CGI to maintain complete creative control over the AI tools. The result is a minimalist body of work that is distinguished by its precision and clarity. His main artistic interest is to explore the inner workings of the human mind, with a focus on creativity, aesthetics, perception, and the generation of meaning.
Idle Hands
Idle Hands addresses the classic notion of creativity being tied to brain-hand connection, which is now challenged by AI. Through CGI and AI, real dancer performances take on new forms. The movement of Hands, that is initially strictly controlled and then dissolves into an improvisation, symbolize artists' AI-driven exploration while retaining creative autonomy.
